For thousands of years spiritual seekers, mystics and yogis have realized the innate spiritual quality of the breath. If we stop breathing for just a few minutes we are dead. Our breath contains the life-force energy.

Normally we are only using 20% of our capacity to breath, thus having only 20% of our energy capacity.

According to ancient manuals of yoga, the cosmic force of life force energy (prana) in the human body are of 5 major types: udana, prana, samana, apana, vyana. 'Pra' means first unit and 'na' means energy.
